Yes. There can never be too many books, but there can be too many for you to possess.
I believe everyone should have at least a small bookcase. Avid readers should have a large bookcase, or two of hard cover editions of their faves, . . . keeping the small bookcase for reads in progress.
To fill bookcases with paperbacks is just foolishness.
Paperbacks decompose, . . . rapidly. They are made with low quality paper, ink and glue.
Paperbacks are not an investment and they are not a collection, . . . they are a hoard. ?
I just had a tough day, helping my elderly uncle move his books… ?He would not even let us throw a scrap of paper, forget donating any books. He held on even to magazines from the early 2000s . I suggested we sort through the books, keep the good stuff, donate what he won’t read and discard old textbooks etc… No luck!!
That’s a very good question. I have over 4600 ebooks on my tablet. And I tend to read very long books. I’m currently reading a biography of Hitler (1300+ pages) and a biography Che Guevara (1000+ pages). I most likely won’t get completely through all of my books (I have physical books as well as ebooks) before the end, but I’ll give it my best shot.
More than they can read, yes…too many…of course not.?
Exactly my thought
More than you can read? Yes. Is that too many? No.
Never.
Nope!
Nope!!!
I say no. The military movers over the last 20 years would disagree. When they packed up 98 boxes of just books, they nearly mutinied.
I found my boxes got smaller as I was more the muscle
I think I have more than then I can read but I just like looking at them. Am I a sick puppy?
In fact I know I have more than I could read.
I have more than I could possibly read but it is not too many
Me too, but I plan to give it a shot!
No .
No, and whoever tells you that is wrong. You don’t need that negativity in your life.
No, you may have books for reference (most scholars have a lot), you might collect books for various reasons such as cooking, etc.
I guess you can say I collect books on metaphysics religion and fringe science
Absolutely no way
Not possible.
I am also a record collector so I have to save space
Yes

There’s no such thing as having too many books ?
