J R Ellis Yorkshire Murder Mystery Series
Liz mistrys are set in Bradford. Not sure what part of Yorkshire that is
Bradford’s in West Yorkshire and I venture to the Dales and around. Bradford is only a stone’s throw from Bronte country. They are very dark though , if you like that sort of thing

I’ve been reading the Dark Yorkshire series by J.M Dalgleish and they are brilliant.
Reginald Hill wrote all the Dalziel and Pasco books, which are Yorkshire based.
Any book by David Mark – the DS McAvoy series set in Hull and surrounding areas.
Revenge of the Malakim by @Paul is set in Bridlington, on the Yorkshire coast.

@Malcolm has the DCI Bennett (Harrogate) series, which is amazing. @Louise has the DCI Ryan series, based round Northumberland, the books are wonderful. You will find the series under LJ Ross. Peter Robinson with the DCI Banks series, is based in North Yorkshire. (The books are much better than the tv series)!
