For more investigative type, try Seeley James.
And for more adventure type, try David Wood or Sean Ellis.

It was sooooo good!
LIES was a good book
I thought so too!
I have enjoyed everyone of William Kent Krueger’s novels of a Northern Minnesota former sheriff. The first was Iron Lake. The 17th is just out, Desolation Mountain. They are thrillers that include a lot of Indian lore, and family values.
Karin Slaughter is great; Tess Gerritson , John Hart.
Kay Hooper is a good author
Anything Harlan Coben..really good
Chevy Stevens too
Catherine Coulter….Lisa Jackson…J. T. Ellison…they are all great.
This is older but the fact that I’ve read thousands of books since this one but still remember it says something about the book. Retribution by Julianne Hoffman. It’s great!
Thank you thank you everyone for your recommendations I will check into them
