Paula Brackston has some good witch books. She wrote The Witch’s Daughter that was pretty good.
The Night Circus is really good it’s by Erin Morgenstern. It’s more magicians though

@Peggy yes it’s the all souls trilogy but discovery is book 1. Loved 1 and 3, 2 was good but a bit slower than I would have preferred – necessary to lay groundwork for 3 though
