Jennifer Weiner has a new series, The Littlest Big Foot. Grades 3-7, more for girls I would think. I haven’t actually read them yet, but I love her adult books.

For boys all Jason Reynolds and Kwame Alexander books are a must. Both are multiple award winning writers who write especially for boys who are picky readers. Girls love their books too.

@Deborah I am impressed that Blue Balliett can keep the series going and it not get predictable or redundant. Most writers lose the mojo after 2 or 3 books.

Not sure how new it is but “We Were Liars” by E.Lockhart is a pretty good book.
