As long as it’s clever and makes sense. I feel like some authors just do it for the sake of surprise, and it doesn’t stay true to the characters. I know, they’re their characters, but still… lol.
Depends on the twist. Some twists are too forced. They want shock value. But if I’m sure (say in a mystery) Guy X did it & Guy Y actually did but it’s believable then yes, I like. The twist in another book was so obvious from the start that it made me not like the book as much.
I love twists in stand alone books when you don’t have to wait for the next one in the series! I have to say, I prefer stand alone books than series as I’m way too impatient to wait for the next book! Lol
I’m currently reading San Miguel by T.C.Boyle , and something just happened in the story I knew it was coming, and now what? I can’t wait to get back to it.
Husbands secret by Liane Moriarty. And I a not talking about the husbands secret that was the twist. At the very end…there was something no one could see coming!
I love twist espacially if it forces you to read on and you cant because you have to work
As long as it’s not the Game of Thrones kind where everyone dies basically.
I like twists in the middle more so they don’t seem like they’re just added to make you read the next one lol
Yes, i love it when its meaningful
Yes
Yeah it’s make me want to read more??
Yup specially if the book level in a Cliffhanger

Yes, it is just like what happened at …. nevermind don’t want to spoil it.
Yes! I want that! I don’t want to expect the ending.
Try reading Passenger by Alexandra Bracken biggest twist I have ever read at the very end of the book
Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher did this brilliantly
I loved her bad mommy book
Excellent! Just added it to my Want list on Goodreads. Thanks so much, I LOVE recommendations.
It depends on what kind of twist.
I love a good unexpected twist.
Shutter Island.
I enjoyed the twists in the O. Henry short stories. I’ve only read a few Agatha Christie novels, but they all had nice surprise endings.
The Villa by Nora Roberts, Odd Thomas (series) by Dean Koontz and just about anything by Harlan Coben.
Yes! Especially in The Great Reckoning, by Louise Penny, my favorite author.
I’m currently reading San Miguel by T.C.Boyle , and something just happened in the story I knew it was coming, and now what? I can’t wait to get back to it.
Just added it on goodreads! Thanks
Yes! Try Spark by Arylias Nova.
