I don’t know if you are the only one, but for my part I can NEVER read two books at the same time… I’d rather put one away for good to start the next one…
I have to do that as part of a current course (reading certain chapters of set non fiction books each month) and am struggling with it. I’m much more about diving in to a book at the beginning and sticking with that one book until done. I’m having to go back on bits previously read to get myself back into it. And couldn’t do it with fiction. I’d forget the nuances of the plot.
No. Unusually have two books going, sometimes three. One is always fiction, the other(s) non-fiction, usually in conjunction with something I am studying. So, I am currently taking a Bible class, so I am reading commentaries, histories, and, of course, the Bible itself. But I start most days reading about 50 pages of a novel. But I rarely to never read two novels at the same time, lest I get them mixed up.
I have a minimum of two going, one is always audio, and then there’s usually one or two on my nook and another on my kindle. Like you, mine are spread about. One by my bathroom because I’m addicted to my soaking tub (ask my husband about hot water ?), audiobook on my phone and my nook always travel with me in my purse.
Sometimes I have two on the go, but it starts to annoy me if it is taking me too long to read a book, so I try not to have more than two on the go at once.
I think a mix of formats is as important as a mix of types. I often have one e-book, one audiobook, and one physical book going. It’s easier to keep them all straight when the format is different.
No, you are not alone. I’m currently reading Villete by Charlotte Bronte (a classic) and Winter in Madrid by C J Sansom (a plain modern fiction novel). It’s because Villette is taking me some time to read, I find it quite heavy (plus I have to keep translating the french, which is littered throughout the book). So I do short bursts of that and longer sessions of the modern novel.
I usually have a different book in each room so it’s waiting when I have a moment to pick up where I left off. Now I tend to make sure they are totally different genres, time periods and locations or I get them mixed up. Last year I was totally muddled up while reading two different mysteries by different authors both set in the UK in the 1940’s and with a housekeeper named Mrs. Peacock.

Guilty
Eh… No! I have loads on the go. Always!
I often read 2 or 3 at a time. Heavy book club reading, light bedtime reading.
I’m in… what… 15? 16? Books. Something like that.
Shhh! I’m reading!
Impressive
Dedicated, really. Since I was like… what, 4? 5? When reading started, I never wanted it to stop. ?
I usually might begin more than one, but eventually the favorite of the few will dominate and I read the others a bit less.
Read one book on my work commute and another at home but rarely have more than one I’m reading at the same time at home
I’m reading a couple at once. I am very moody and also my attention span is bad so I jump from book to book
this is my case too
No, when I read horror books I have to read another book along with it.
Nope!
Usually have from 3-5 going – a mystery, humor, psycho thriller, nonfiction; moods jump all over the place.

No I’m kinda bouncing between two right now. Plus I read a lot of comics too lol
I’ve got “8” books on my currently reading shelf on Goodreads right now, although I’d say I’m really only into half of them right now
Yeah technically there are 5 books in my current spot but in reality I’m just reading the two. Library so the ones I own are kinda on hold.
Nope!

Sometimes I do but they have to be completely different
I usually have 2-4 going at a time.
Pretty sure I have 2-3 going at one time usually. A mix of types and formats.
I think a mix of formats is as important as a mix of types. I often have one e-book, one audiobook, and one physical book going. It’s easier to keep them all straight when the format is different.
Yes – this! Except I really can’t get into physical books anymore. I usually have an audiobook and a non-fiction & fiction ebook going.

I have been doing this a lot lately too.
I usually have a different book in each room so it’s waiting when I have a moment to pick up where I left off. Last year I was totally muddled up while reading two different mysteries by different authors both set in the UK in the 1940’s and with a housekeeper named Mrs. Peacock.
was the housekeepers name a coincidence?
