^^ same depending on how I feel afterwards. If I’m reading another book in that series, I’ll start reading it right away. If it’s not, I might wait a few days or start it right away.

It depends on the book. Some characters stay with me and I have to think about the book for a day or two. Usually, I begin another book as soon as i can.

Same!! I feel like I’m betraying my previous book like I still wanna revel into it cuz I feel like it deserves it and I don’t want it to think, “Bitch so you’re done with me and have already moved on, huh?” ?

Since I always have more than one book going at once, there is no lag time between books. It is just perpetual book reading, no waiting for the next to move on to. ☮️??

Usually same day, unless I realize I don’t have time to read 15-20 pages of the new book that day. If I only get a few pages in on the first day, then sometimes I never really connect with the book, even a “good” one.

Almost instantly. I usually have multiple books going at once so it is hard difficult to move onward.

It depends on the book. Sometimes I need a day or two to get the last one out of my system. I can get so drawn into a book at times I feel like I’ve lost a part of me when it’s over. Then there are books that when I finish I can just jump right back into another one.

About 5 minutes. ?OK, sometimes I finish one before bed then start a new one when I get up in the morning.

0
Reply
Kelly

I’m usually reading a few books at a time so when I’m done my “main” one, I’ll usually make one of my secondary books my main book. A lot of my reading is driven by library due dates but sometimes my interest in a certain book may override that.

Depends on if the book was deep and complex or just like frosting. Example little women vs. Crime and Punishment.

Yes, I was reading Little Women and started crying on when Beth dies and my roommate asked me what is wrong? And, I just said, “Beth died.” He was a little confused and asked me who Beth was. Then I had to tell him that was one of the sister’s in this book. And, when I had finished the book, I felt like crying, because it was over and done.

Depends on how much the book made an impact. After reading ‘Conflicted’ by @Katze an M/M dark thriller, it took me about 2 weeks to come back from it. That book owns part of my soul still. Sequal out till Christmas and I’m stalking the author to – *cough* motivate – get a faster release…lol

Depends on the novel. I generally read each evening before bedtime. Some nights I can start a new book immediately and sometimes even if I’m not that tired, I just need to pause and not start a new novel until the next evening. It happened again over the weekend, I finished reading “The Signature of All Things” by Elizabeth Gilbert and I couldn’t start another novel the same night.
