A question, please. I love the book “How Green Was My Valley” . Is it a classic? By Richard LLewellyn.

I would say it is. Certainly a modern classic.
If it’s not it should be!
It us wonderful!
It is a classic and I loved it also. I read it years ago.
Classic ?
A modern one
After the book, read the movie. Lovely.
If you like this, try A J Cronin, same genre. Start with The Citadel and move on to Hatter’s Castle
Thanks
I agree with Dympna’s suggestions. I love both the film and the book of “How Green Was My Valley “ and, although I haven’t read him for years, A,J.Cronin has moved me deeply. Pearl Buck’s The Good Earth is also a delight.
i would call it a classic. read it years ago. loved it.
