Definitely, go to your local library’s website and find out the details. Hoopla, Overdrive are two of the bigger vendors. Your local librarians can take you step by step thru the process.

On my Kindle app. But my mom has a Kindle Fire and she does it. Overdrive asks if you want to download the book to your Kindle account.

If you are in the US you can. Here in Canada you can’t.

Usually. Depends where you reside and the library.

Sometimes. It depends on what system your library supports. I use the library’s app on my iPad, it works fine, but it’s not as versatile as a Kindle.

Talk to your library. They’ll be able to give you all the info you need.

It depends on the library. I once was able to, then our library switched from Overdrive to 3MCloud. I no longer can, so I drove to the next town over and got a card from them. Now, I am back in books!

Yes. It is called Overdrive. If the book is not available, it tells you how many holds there are

I use the Libby app to check out audio and ebooks from my library. I think Libby is much more user friendly than Overdrive.

Overdrive is the only vendor that fully integrated the kindle format. Great deal by its founder and Jeff Bezos. Other vendors do work on kindle that use an android platform like the Fire. As @Elizabeth said -talk to your librarian for all the details.
