Yes! Both Bear Town and Us Against You were excellent! I went to hear Backman speak in the spring for Us Against You release and he revealed that there is a third book planned! He always envisioned it as a trilogy!

I finally started My Grandma…” last night, skeptical that I would like it because I’m not drawn to coming of age books (which it sounded like) and never knew my grandparents (so I had nothing to relate to). First ten pages and I’m hooked! SOOO, I’ve just added Beartown to my TBR and the Friends of the Library booksale is coming up next week, so I’m jazzed! Thanks for the recommendation!

How far did you get? It starts out quite tame, but takes a serious turn.

It was required reading for all the boy’s at my son’s boarding school. He said it had a slow start building the characters but then it took off and in one night he had to stay up all night reading it. He just couldn’t put it down.
