I read a good bit of YA, I’m finishing Maggie Stiefvater’s Mercy Falls trilogy right now (teen werewolves).

Yes, much better series! This one is well written but just feels very light and fluffy in comparison ?

I LOVE Laini Taylor! (And I’m nowhere near YA age range, or particularly fond of fantasy normally, but she is fantastic!) “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” is Book 1 in her ‘Daughter of Smoke and Bone’ trilogy.

Yep! I’m putting Strange the Dreamer on the back burner for that very reason. Caraval too.

I love the Jackaby books by William Ritter. I’ve heard them described as a mash-up of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Who, and I’d say that’s a pretty fair description. Rollicking good fun!

Fab series. Give them a go. If you like them try Melissa Marr’s Wicked Lovely series which is one of my all time favourites. x
