Being that it was the author’s own story added interest to it. It is the book this month in the book club I go to. It will Interesting to hear the comments.

Loved this book – when I started it I thought it was set in the 1930’s before I realised it was present time which made it all the more incredible . One of my favourites of all time !

@Pat I didn’t say it was. My friends were also appalled at the “living off the grid” life style and the reduced opportunities this gave the children.
