A is for Alibi – Sue Grafton. Amazing, strong, single and ok woman P.I. who knocks it out of the park for 25/26 letters of the alphabet. Really the first time I noticed a woman doing this. Love Kinsey Millhone.

She started writing these in the 80s, so as a twenty-something back then it impacted me greatly.

The Alphabet ends with Y. I cried when I heard that Sue Grafton passed away last year.

Yes, so sad. That’s why I said 25/26. I think we should scrap Z from the alphabet in respect!!

the first two because I was raised very conservative christian and lived a sheltered privileged life and never had to think about the types of issues dealt with by so many other people. Helped give me some perspective and be more mindful about a lot of things both in myself and in others.

The Lucifer effect. Really learned how power can turn you evil . How even the good can become bad if given authority or power. And how the real hero’s are the ones who use their power to do good. “Evil is knowing better, but willingly doing worse.” (My favorite quote of Zimbardo)
It help me understand how the human mind works.

The autobiography of Malcolm x the mental power of how someone can completely change themself from a toxic person to the opposite and be a sober ,healthy, good person just trying to better the world while he did an amazing job at it.the book changed my outlook on life. When you think your stuck at whatever position you are in life the book showed me your only as stuck as you let yourself be.
