Both are really good.

The Kitchen House but then you’ll have to read the sequel Glory over Everything, both fantastic reads!

My plan is to buy the better of the two and get the other one from the library.
I have no experience with The Kitchen House (now added to my to be read list). We Were The Lucky Ones was good though so I recommend it.
