Note that some books have limitations on how many devices you can open it in. At one point I had access to my Kindle library on two different computers at work, on my Paperwhite, on my Android phone, and three different computers at home. There was one title had a limit and I would have to pick which device to deregister so that the book with a limit would open on the devices I wanted to read it on… PIA
Yes. You can store it in the cloud if your kindle gets too full and you can even transfer it to other devices you own. When my sister got an upgraded version of kindle she could move books to it from her old kindle.?
A book from the KOBO site it self can’t be traded or lend out .. if you have a book downloaded from another (legal) site it’s yours to do what ever you want …loan, trade, swap or just delete the file

Can you loan or trade Kindle books?
There is an option to loan, but I have never tried it out. No trading…
Only certain titles are loan-able. I think it’s up to the publisher.
