I’ve read all of Larry McMurtrey’s books. I don’t think any of them compare to Lonesome Dove but Terms of Endearment and The Last Picture Show are both very good too

I loved Wool but didn’t finish the trilogy after reading shift, worth going back to? Owen Meany also makes my top 5, great book.

You will like it. To be honest, first I wanted to give up on the book, but my friend recommended it and she usually lent me good books so I stuck with it and it was worth it. Because the end of the book is so powerful, it gave me goosebumps ?

@Dylan the movies are good but the books are still worth the read. I read all of these before the movies came out. Waited about 20 years for THE STAND to be made into a movie.
If you do read SHUTTER ISLAND, I’d love to get your take on it. I’ll tell you why after you read it. ?
