“The Pogo Candidature,” a 1976 collection of Walt Kelly’s Pogo repackaged as part of the “Cartoons for New Children” series edited by Gary Trudeau. It’s an interesting series, collecting various comic strips into story form, focusing on social issues. Other books feature Gasoline Alley, Steve Canyon, Miss Peach, Tank McNamara and of course Doonesbury.
