@Sibel I’m heading to the bookshop x

2

Oh it’s a wonderful read. Feel very jealous of those who are going to read it for the first time.

2
Sibel

@Caron enjoy! You’ll love it ?

2
Caron

@Linda trust your judgement!

2
Julie

Seen so many good reviews. Think I need to get it.

1
Linda

Thank you for your trust Caron but I should point out that I hated The Book Thief and most other people here loved it. ?

1
Sibel

Okay, I’ll admit I hated The man called Ove and everyone loved it ??

1
Linda

Not been tempted by that one!

1
Caron

@Linda shhhh i hated it too but it’s on our syllabus ???

I hated Eleanor Oliphant

2
Linda

I am not alone…yay!! ???

2
Linda

When people rave about books I download a free sample to my Kindle before I commit myself. I did that with Eleanor Oliphant and have to say it left me cold!

1
Sibel

That’s a good tip! I’ll start doing that ?

1
Linda

I find it either saves me money by not buying it or time and effort by going to the library. Ive gotten to the stage in my life whereby I don’t want to read books I don’t like or enjoy. Main reason why I have never been tempted to join a book club….can’t bear the thought of trudging through a book someone else has chosen! Grumpy old moo. ??

Hmmm, either Children of Blood & Bone, The Hazel Wood, or Shatter Me. I know the latter has been out for, like, a million years, but I’ve only just got around to it! I also loved Nevermoor & The Truth and Lies of Ella Black!

Unless… I guess it counts if I’ve read a few stories in the Verne compilation book. There’s seven in there and I’ve gone through three… So I guess my favorite since New Years would be Journey to the Center of the Earth 😀
