Had to look this one up, it sounds really interesting. A total depart from what I usually read, I’m adding it to my TBR pile and branching out!

I have got to read this. I didn’t think I was a sci fi fan, but recently some books have changed my mind!

I read 15 books this month, I loved probably 9 of them, completely disliked 1, and the others were just ok. My favorite was either Once We Were Brothers by Ronald Balson or The Stolen Marriage by Diane Chamberlain.

Brenda, I love that you were able to get 15 books in!! Just the title The Stolen Marriage makes me want to pick it up!

So worth the read. I am just starting The Bay at Midnight by her now. I’ve been on a WWII kick and needed an emotional break.

@Whitney I remember feeling that after each of the other books. I got Red Rising from the library not knowing how much I would love it. Read it in 24 hours and immediately went to the store and bought the series to loan out to friends so we could discuss.

Alexis De Weese if I hadn’t bought it on my kindle, I’d mail it you, just to have someone to talk to about it ?

I loved it. And now I’m listening to the Red Rising series again, because I just wasn’t ready to leave the world. I absolutely love the narrator for that series, I’ve listened to it a few times.

@Whitney If only! I’ll have to pick it up and return to this thread. LOVE that world and all the layers he writes in.

Fun thing to tide you over while you wait for a book buddy, one of my favorite bands wrote a song based on the series. (This is actually how I found out about the series and is the weirdest way I’ve gotten a book recommendation.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s463N26A1_4

@Alexis I loved their voices and I’m already looking up more of their music. That song is….wow. So, so good. It genuinely made me teary eyed. Thank you so much for sharing that with me!!

And yes, please come back to this thread. I’ll search you out later this month and check in to see if you’ve read it haha

Will do!

And Penny & Sparrow are amazing with lots of great literary ties sprinkled throughout their songs. Fantastic and funny live as well.

I would say They Both Die at The End by Adam Silvera. But even though I didn’t finish this book In January, Cinder by Marissa Meyer is awesome.
