I picked it up in sometime around 2015, felt so boring that I had to drop it. If you finish it would you kindly tell me whether I should finish it or let it be. Thanks! 🙂

0
Judith

This copy has been on my shelf for at least 15 years, have started it a couple of times only to be bored to sleep. I’m 80 pages in this time and it seems to be working better for me, not great but readable interesting. Not sure why but this seems to be one of those nagging ” I really should read” books for me.

0
Rachit

Haha… There are some instances where I feel that Salinger is deliberately making the reader fall asleep… Like the part where the protagonist (I’ve completely forgotten his name) is in his dorm, alone and starting out the window… There’s a line in which he expresses that even he is bored! (Have you reached there yet?) Hey if you do make it through then would you text me whether it is worth a read.
