I think this was actually made into a mini series in the UK. Don’t know if it is available in the States.

@Amanda it was but I but I haven’t seen it yet. I really would love to see it as a full motion picture. When I read it I see Angelina Jolie as Sugar

Amanda

Yes, I could definitely see that.

Not a movie but Stranger Things would be a great book series.

[My misread-the-question answer:] The Biography I read on President John Tyler. I saw something recently that indicated he has not been portrayed in ANY movie, and there are so many unusual stories of which he was a part! [John Tyler: Champion of the Old South, by Oliver P. Chitwood.]

Have you read The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer: My Life at Rose Red or anything about The Winchester Mansion? Obviously the first is dated before the movie, but The Winchester Mansion is what Stephen King based the film/miniseries off of.

@Krista I was just going to message that!

That’s what I was wondering…

Brenda

I thought the same thing too.

Jeff

It became a lot more challenging because so many movies originated as books, or have already been made into books since their movie release.

1
Jeff

I was going to say Soul Surfer, but that was recently given a YA novel.

Brenda

I don’t go to the movies very often. But were it reversed I have always wanted Shibumi to be made into a movie but I’ll need to do the casting.

There is a book.

The one I’ve see is a screenplay format, not in a paragraph book form.

Cathy

I watched it…and seem to remember reading it. I think it is packed in a box. I don’t remember it being in screenplay format…but it has been awhile ? and I’m not so young anymore.

Seyit and Sura, a Turkish mini-series would make a great book in English.
