Aww so you know the twist ? the book is better! Lol Another good one is “And then there was one” by Agatha Christie

Have you read The Girl with all the Gifts?

0
Holly

No but I will definitely look for a copy! Is it a psych thriller as well?

0
LinaQuestion author

I don’t think so but it was another case of watching the movie without knowing about the book and absolutely adoring the movie and then finding out about the book for me ?
But if our tastes are similar, I highly recommend it! (The movie at least since I’ve yet to get to the book :’) )

The twist in the end of that book had all my hair standing on end. So disturbing.

@Kelsie Agreed. Boy, I thought my family had issues, lol

1
Kelsie

Right? I honestly didn’t see it coming.
SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE READING COMMENTS THAT HAVEN’T READ THIS BOOK)

.

The dollhouse thing was what freaked me out the worst. Honestly one of best, most jaw-dropping moments.

Is it better than Gone Girl?

Kelsie

In my opinion, yes.

Also, I’m Thinking of Ending Things. I’m STILL not entirely sure what happened in that book. I have theories, but it is a mindf*ck for sure!

I’m definitely voting for Shutter Island. That’s the first time I ever had to put a book down & pace back and forth like OMG! I literally was about to start yelling lol

Certain scenes from that book haunt me to this day, and I read it YEARS ago. Part of me wants to re-read, part of me isn’t sure I could handle it again.

Tesha

It definitely can mess with your head. I’ve never responded like that to a book before. I didn’t want it to end but I had to know How it ended lol

0
Amanda

I’m intrigued! The movie is on my to be watched list but now I HAVE to read the book lol!!

1
Tesha

The movie was great too & I read the book afterwards because I just KNEW that I was missing something crucial lol nope! Dennis Lehane clearly enjoys messing with people lmao

Lol…now I get it. So foolish of me to ask. ????. I was like what is this book following that is so popular ????.

1
Krista

Lol you did better than I did ? I told my husband “this person just asked me if I was bi (as in bisexual) and I’m not sure how to respond…” ? He’s says to me “They are asking who following is ‘by’ as on author ? ” and by then @Natalie had commented ? next time I’m just gonna put the period (.) This way there is no confusion ?

2
Rao

Haha…I can’t stop laughing ?????.

Just finished reading Sharp Objects. It isn’t finished with me, though – very disturbing.

I’ve only read one book so far, but Michael Robotham is one to look into. Say You’re Sorry kept me guessing until the very end and floored me with the revelation.

Oh yes. I found bombproof and that was quite the ride! Could not put the book down. Most of his books are not standalone though it seems. i def’s want to read more of him though cos he is an amazing writer!

0
Kelsie

No, but they also don’t NEED to be read in order. When I picked up Say You’re Sorry, I was afraid because it wasn’t the first in the series. But really it didn’t matter…plus I want to eventually read them all anyway!
