Wow…I’m surprised. I wasn’t going to read them…not my genre, but after they became less plentiful to find, I decided to read the first one…I got at a thrift store. I was hooked and went looking for the next 2. You just never know, I guess.?
Same here!! Several years ago I checked it out from the library so many times. Then I finally just bought a copy at a thrift shop. The weird thing is I like it a lot, just have taken so long!!
Although I am going to revisit this one at some point this year. I don’t think I was in the right frame of mind when I started it. It was a bookclub pick, I had a lot of stuff going on, and just couldn’t focus enough to get through it. Kind of ironic when you think about what the book is about.
Lucky Boy, The Love Warrior, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, The Twilight Wife, The Peculiar Miracles of Antoinette Martin, Fortune Hunter and many more.
I keep wanting to stand up for the unfinished books like they are personal friends of mine. Except Moby Dick. You are on your own, freaking Moby Dick. On. Your. Own.
In high school I had and English teacher who made a Freudian slip when trying to say “Moby Dick.” I’ll let you figure out what that Freudian slip was. 😀

I could not finish that either. I made it about half way through the first book.
I just wasn’t Interested… that genre isn’t my favorite so I was going out on a limb trying to read it.. I just couldn’t

Americanah and Life After Life

I’ve tried a couple of times for Anna & haven’t succeeded yet. I did make it through the most recent movie adaptation.
Same here!! Several years ago I checked it out from the library so many times. Then I finally just bought a copy at a thrift shop. The weird thing is I like it a lot, just have taken so long!!
Across 5 Aprils.
The Rosie Project
Although I am going to revisit this one at some point this year. I don’t think I was in the right frame of mind when I started it. It was a bookclub pick, I had a lot of stuff going on, and just couldn’t focus enough to get through it. Kind of ironic when you think about what the book is about.

I bought this recently. “Shivers” doesn’t sound good at all, lol! Would you share a bit of what you didn’t like about it? Thank you!
I thought it was too wordy and dragged out. I just couldn’t get into it, but I have a friend who loved it so you might too
The Longest Ride. Never got past the first chapter.
Lucky Boy, The Love Warrior, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, The Twilight Wife, The Peculiar Miracles of Antoinette Martin, Fortune Hunter and many more.
pride and prejudice, the writing is amazing but i just didnt feel invested in the charecters or find that there was that much going on
50 shades of grey
Captains and Kings. Few characters to like and way too much politics. Also a poor state of affairs if any of it’s true.
Forgive me, Mr. Tolkien, but I only pretended to read The Silmarilion.
Wicked
Cutting for Stone.
Me too, Camille!
I loved Cutting For Stone. Difficult to read but a profound story.
