The Forgotten Garden
Pillars of the Earth
War and Peace
The Great Alone
Diary of a young girl, creative visualization, zero limits, captain Corelli’s Mandolin and the hearts invisible furies
5 out of my TBR pile because it doesn’t say how long I’d be on the island, and I’d use it like a vacation. Just long enough to spend my time reading and then go back to society.
No way I could pick just 5!
The Pillars of the Earth
The Signature of All Things
To Kill a Mockingbird
Pavilion of Women
Not possible to choose.
Lord of the Rings
The Prince of Tides
The poisonwood bible
Bel canto and Prince of tides are tbr <3
Rage of Angels by Sidney Sheldon
A glimpse of Stocking by Elizabeth Gage
Passions by Barney Leason
Scruples by Judith Krantz
Headhunter by Michael Slade
That’s mine 5 🙂
How to Survive on a Desert Island, The Bible, 100 Ways to prepare Coconut, Lonley and how to conquer it, and How to create musical instruments from Used Coconuts
Or like on Gilligan’s island they built a radio or something like that out of coconuts!
@Julie yes, and I’m thinking I would need music.
@Claire I would too!
Long ones – The Lord Of The Rings, War And Peace, Don Quixote, The Count Of Monte Cristo – and, just to be a cliche, Robinson Crusoe.
My huge collected works of Shakespeare to ponder over, a huge fully illustrated book of art history to look at, and the collected works of Jane Austen for pure pleasure.
Any of the Little House books
Pride and Prejudice
Any Sisterchicks books
A first aid book
I can’t pick 5, how about 20 lol
It would be a bit difficult to charge. LOL. However, it certainly solves the problem of only taking a handful of books.
Outdoor Survival Skills would be one of them for sure : )
Hmmm….since we can take collections, I’d take the Game of Thrones collection, the Bible, a survival guide, Mary Shelley’s journals, and….a blind date with a book book. Just for the fun of it.
Gone With The Wind, The trilogy by Ferrol Sams, and Kushiel’s Dart.
Hmm, the question doesn’t say that I’m going to be stuck there; maybe I’m just going on vacation. So in that case I’ll just take the next 5 on my TBR:
The Bridge on the Drina
Leopard at the Door
The Book of Viking Myths
Butterflies in November
Long Walk to Freedom
Are there books on how to build a boat? Cuz I’d take that. 😉
The one volume Lord of the Rings
The one volume Chronicles of Narnia
The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
A big as I can get journal to write my own book in.
Can i bring my cell and read the 200 ebooks that i have?
Until the battery runs down. ?
Kindle paperwhite is supposed to have a battery of weeks/months though. Hmm.
Thickest ones to make a bonfire, get saved and go to library and hold a quiet minute for those lost in battle to get there.
5 survivalist manuals.
My fully loaded Kindle with lots of battery chargers
You probably won’t find any electrical sockets on the deserted island! ?
@Catarina I should have said solar battery chargers!
Wolf Hall; The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet; The Twelve Caesars; Cancer Ward and What’s Bred in the Bone…….
Rebecca, Gone with the Wind, Losing Julia, Sarah’s Key, The Lake House
They would have to be books I haven’t read yet so I don’t know!
Covenant with the vampire
Interview with the vampire
Queen of the damned
A court of thorns and roses
Game of thrones
To Kill a Mockingbird, The Things They Carried, Dracula, The Good Earth, and a really fat crossword puzzle book.
