I know an NGO here in my city that takes in books and gives to underprivileged children. My really old books that I didn’t like or aren’t special to me have been donated there. I actually have to sort a few out and donate them as they are taking a lot of space.

I donate to my county library for their quarterly book sales. Those sales are what funds so many extra programs the library offers and in the summer we are there a lot with their teen programs.

I give them as presents to the people I know will enjoy that kind of story, so at least the books will go to someone who will appreciate them. 🙂

I have a bookstore here that gives credit for books that are in decent condition. It’s not a lot, depending on their age, too but it’s nice. My sister goes to little local bookstores, like mom and pop stores and does it there.

Keep it aside for the time being since we never know when we will start to look for it because sending away a book without first exploring the pages is sad. Our likes and favorites tend to change with time. That is what I do at least. 🙂
