I know an NGO here in my city that takes in books and gives to underprivileged children. My really old books that I didn’t like or aren’t special to me have been donated there. I actually have to sort a few out and donate them as they are taking a lot of space.

I donate to my county library for their quarterly book sales. Those sales are what funds so many extra programs the library offers and in the summer we are there a lot with their teen programs.
I usually give them to my family or friends if they show any interest or to a charity, we have a local bookstore but I haven’t tried selling there yet

I have a “free book rack” at my library I donate too and pick up from. It’s cool because I’ve found some good books there for free I wanted for my mini library at home.
I give them as presents to the people I know will enjoy that kind of story, so at least the books will go to someone who will appreciate them. 🙂

there are a lot of “street libraries” in my area so i take them to those. (Not sure if its a common thing so let me know if i need to explain).

I have a bookstore here that gives credit for books that are in decent condition. It’s not a lot, depending on their age, too but it’s nice. My sister goes to little local bookstores, like mom and pop stores and does it there.
If my niece doesn’t want it, I take it to the used bookstore and trade it in for credits so I can get more books. ?

Donate to Indy Reads, a not-for-profit bookstore which promotes and improves literacy in Indianapolis. I’ve also donated to homeless shelters and women’s shelters.
