Carl Haaisen, especially the novels featuring at some point, Skink. Haaisen showcases the comedic absurdity of Florida politics and policies with over-the-top characters and plot. I find it laugh-out-loud funny at times, while I am silently chuckling on the inside for the rest of the time. He is a reread go-to when I am really stressed and/or busy at work and don’t want to read something I won’t appreciate, if that makes sense…

Dave Barry’s Book of Bad Songs. I was reading it late at night and was laughing so hard, all alone in my living room, I’m surprised I didn’t wake anyone up. My favorite part was about the song Wildfire. You HAVE to read it. Also anything by AJ Jacobs, and The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson.

@Rachelle yes to both! There’s so many laugh out loud moments with these two wonderful authors!
I just got the newest Stephanie Plum book from the library and am excited to dive right in and see what shenanigans that crew is up to this time around.
And…I’ve totally gotten those same looks from people on the subway when I was unable to contain my laughter while reading!! ?
