So glad I’m not the only one. All my friends were all about seeing the movie and I kept saying no way i hated the book not gonna bother with the movie no matter how much i like sometime in the cast

0
Cindy

It was so boring to me. I refused to see the movie as well.

0
Nichole

Me too. I had a hard time paying attention to it because there was nothing going on to me. And I’m usually fine with books like that. Ingress that I don’t find to interesting. I just don’t retain much about them after I’m all done . But That one was the worst. I couldn’t remember it as I was reading it

0
Cindy

It was just party after party. It seemed like nothing at all happened in forever. But it’s not my typical genre. I love dystopian and fantasy. I’m always in the young adult section, adult fiction has no imagination.

I also couldn’t get into Catcher in the Rye, but perhaps I should give it another go. I was maybe too young to really appreciate it the first time around.

I didn’t enjoy Catcher in Rye, but as I was reading reviews a lot of people hated it the first time around and then reread it like 5-10 years later and really enjoyed it.

Don’t ever bother reading this author’s book DESIGN LINES. It is very boring and amateurishly written. I considered it a gigantic waste of time.

I just bought this an hour ago from the used books for sale at my library and saw that the reviews weren’t so great :/

I loved the Time Travellers Wife. I tried to read 50 Shades of Gray. It’s so awful !!! I made it through the first book. Her writing style completely changed for the second book. It’s like it was written by someone else.

Tara

Lovely Bones was soooo bland.

2
Serenity

@Tara I agree 100 % I couldn’t get past page 42, & when I finally did she was talking about the killer’s mother leaving. You killed an innocent 14 year old girl & we’re supposed to feel sorry for you. I gave up after that.

2
Jordan

@Serenity I gave up when the victim’s sister broke in the killers house and stole evidence. At this point, the police knew who they were looking for but didn’t go after him. It was like I was the only one who cared that a serial killer was on the loose.

The Twilight series. The first book was an okay-enough start. I could have overlooked all the flaws of the first if not for the rest of the series. Just… no.

Dracula. “But it’s a classic!” Yeah, a really bad one. Renfield was the only good part.

IT. I tried so hard to get into it, but I couldn’t bring myself to even get halfway through. King has a habit of bogging down his work with pointless details, and it makes me lose interest pretty quickly.

I’ve never read more than an excerpt from 50 Shades and never had a desire to, but the excerpt was very poorly written and I can only assume the entire book is based on that Is that why there’s this amount of dislike for it?
