Daphne de Maurier Rebecca. She also wrote the birds, made into the film by Hitchcock, but it’s set in Cornwall.

The Dry by Jane Harper. I’m currently reading this intriguing crime novel, set in an Australian drought stricken town. An excellent page turner.
