One of the funniest people on earth for me is David Sedaris. I used to commute and listen to him narrate his stories, and sometimes I had to pull over because I was laughing so hard I couldn’t drive safely.

The story of the author is indeed sad. The commentary in the book between the characters (particularly Burma Jones) had me rolling the entire time.
