For my all time favorite I have to cheat and pick a series in a volume; the Chronicles of Narnia.
I did just finish The Doomsday Book and felt that it was an excellent read.
You’d have to narrow it down a bit by genre, but a few favorite YA books are:

The Scorpio Races
Eleanor & Park
Everything by Cassandra Clare
outlander series
I’ll add Book Thief and anything by that author. Plus The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by Boye (think that’s how you spell it 🙂 )
