The Autobiography of Martin Luther King, Jr. narrated by LeVar Burton and MLK Jr. himself. He diagnosed the three things ailing the USA, which continue to this day. It’s so inspiring to listen to – because his leadership is so far-sighted and moral.

It certainly wasn’t written in 2018, but my favorite read of the year was “Johnny Got His Gun” by Dalton Trumbo

Hard to narrow it down to just 1 because I read some good ones this year:
Every Note Played (Less Genova)
Heart Shaped Box (Joe Hill)
East of Eden (John Steinbeck)
And I’ve read most of the Dexter Series this year (book 2 being my favorite)

@Patty If you enjoyed every note played, read her book inside the O’Brien’s. I thought it was even better.

Kerrie

@Diane Agreed.

After reading Every Note Played, I’m definitely planning on read more of her books. I’ve heard a lot of great things about Still Alice too.

Fave of the year is Could Be Worse by James Stevenson. But that’s a kids book.
Yellow Packard by Ace Collins squeaks out as fave novel. I like the period episodic nature of the life of a fancy car and it’s effect on owners.
