So I can’t stick to reading just 1 book at a time. I need multiple books to read at once. Anyone else like that?

Im still trying to be able to listen to books on audible. I find it very difficult.

@Anita i find speeding up the narration to help. It goes better with my own reading speed.

? I will have to look into that. Yea the audiles are too slow. So I’d rather just have the book to focus on and have my reading speed.

I usually have one with audio and one to read. I can’t read multiple books at once BUT I do read multiple series at once. I can’t read through an entire series. I’ll get bored. These are the books I’m currently running.

It took me years to be able to read multiple books at once. I usually read a couple chapters in one book and switch over to another book. Night Angel is so good!!! Im thinking about re reading it ^_^

@Anita it is! I love Brent Weeks so much! Have you read his Lightbringer series? It’s so good too.

It took me a bit to train my brain to be able to read books at the same time of the same genre.

Can I ask why? Like how is it helpful?

I just enjoy reading multiple stories at once

Ah, that’s fair I guess

Its kind of like how people can watch multiple shows at once. I dont watch much TV so I do multiple books at once.

Donevan

I watch too much TV (Why I don’t read more) but I binge whole series

Not fantasy books. If I’m reading a good one, I don’t want to do or read anything else.

Different types of books, yes.

No – really? If a book is really good, I want to continue as often as possible. Normally I also need a little break between different books – when I finished one , in every case a few hours. 🙂

Yes. I read many books at a time. Sometimes I’ll read all the way through a book, but usually it takes a few weeks to months. Only with non-fiction do I read quickly through an entire book, but that is because I need the info or can skim unimportant paragraphs.

I typically read 5 books at the same time and cycle through them….I can’t read certain books when I am in some moods…so I have a few at a time depending on my mood.

Yep. I generally have one going on my Kindle, at least one fiction hard copy book, and a nonfiction hard copy book going at all times.

Well… sorta. I read one actual book a time on my kindle. But then I also have an audio-book going for when I’me driving or in the shower. And then another audiobook to read while I go to sleep – this last one is usually a re-read, so it doesn’t matter if I fall asleep on it.

My problem is that I work at home, now, which means I don’t drive as much as I used to, so I am finding it hard to read audio books consistently. 🙂

I usually have one audio book going, one fiction book and several non fiction books at once (because they don’t hold my attention like novels do and I don’t get to them very often). I used to read a bunch of novels at once, but I’ve been making a concerted effort to stay focused on one.
