‘Dark Matter’ by Blake Crouch. It’s a thriller but borders a touch on sci-fi. The best book I’ve ever read.

Try Whisky from Small Glasses by Denzil Meyrick. This is possibly where LJ Ross got her character idea from? Good series of books about DCI Daley

Have you tried any of the series by Joy Ellis. She has a couple which are set in the Fens in England. I love them.
