Have you read The Giver? Then there are 3 books that follow. I read a book a day. They are young adult fiction but I enjoyed them.

Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds.
Great book. Deep, quick read, and has a pretty powerful feel to it.
I thought The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry was a really good story, and an easy read as well.
I liked it a lot, after I got partway in. But I wouldn’t call it fast-paced. In fact, I put it down initially because I couldn’t get into it. (Unusual for me.)
Anything by James Patterson is usually a fast paced, easy read. I particularly like When the Wind Blows and it’s sequel The Lake House.

Lorna Barrett has a fun, easy Booktown Mystery series that I love and have read all the books. Likable characters, good plots and a great setting.

The woman in cabin 10 was a pretty good read
A Simple Plan by Scott Smith. Two brothers and their friend stumble upon the wreckage of a plane…. the pilot is dead and his duffle bag contains four million in cash. In order to hide, keep, and share the fortune, these ordinary men all agree to a simple plan.
The Metamorphosis by Kafka. Short, creepy, fascinating. A great Halloween read.
