Station Eleven and Zone One are my favorites. There’s also The Dog Stars and The Age of Miracles. And I second The Road. Oh and for a classic, read The Scarlet Plague. It’s a novella by Stephen Crane. Published in the early 20th century. It’s great.

Me too! You’re the only other person that I’ve heard has read it. I always recommend it if someone is looking for dystopian type novels.

Suffer the Children by John Saul. It was so messed up but I couldn’t put it down.

Severance by Ling Ma. It’s what happens when the apocalypse comes in the form of tedium. It’s weird and sparse and disaffected. It was my favorite book of 2018. And also, I echo Station Eleven, which is basically the opposite of Severance.
