Happy Easter! I’m reading a religious book, of sorts, at the moment: J M Barrie’s The Little Minister. Not exactly the depths of spirituality I’m used to with George MacDonald, but a very entertaining read so far.
I am a big fan of Geraldine Brooke’s and really enjoyed ‘People of the Book’. My only two quibbles in the story were the unsatisfactory relationship with her mother and the token gesture to our First Nation People. The story was compelling enough without these two distractions . She is, otherwise, a wonderful writer and someone well worth reading.

What is “People of the Book” about, @Kathy?
I did not like this one much which surprised me as I have enjoyed all her other books, especially ‘Year of Wonders’. Happy Easter Bookers! ??

I need to reread this with new eyes!
