Depends what I’ve been reading. When I read Lolita, I needed a massive break and avoided all dark books to get my head back to normality.

If it’s been a tense murder thriller,I like to read something light, before I start another Also if I go straight into another,I can get mixed up especially if it’s not a follow on.Need to wind down!

Depends on how much of an impression the book has made on me. If it is huge, I have to gather my thoughts first and cut myself loose from the book so to speak. If it’s one in a series I think I’d have to go on to the next one! And if it’s just ok, I can move on immediately.

It all depends on the time of day. It also depends if I have another book with me.

It depends. If a novel has really gripped me, I like to bask in those feelings and think about what I’ve read.

Reading without contemplation is like eating without digestion. (Unknown source. Not my own quote.)

If I am reading a series, I like to go straight to the next one. When I have read a really good book, it is sometimes difficult to find an equal, then I take a break or switch genre.

Easy to get ‘crimed out’ and start confusing your next book with previous ones you’ve read!

I can’t cope if I have no books lined up. Luckily between Netgalley and Bookbub I have loads to read.

If I am reading books in a series then switch authors to another book and then go back to the series 🙂

Especially if I really am involved in a book I find it really hard to get stuck into the next one. Having said that I always have more than one book on the list ready to read,so easy now that I have a kindle

It depends on what else I have to do. Normally yes but if I have a paper to write then I might have a break from reading for no more than a day.
