It depends on what kind of fantasy you like. If you are into epic try Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, gorge rr Martian, Scott Lynch. If you like Urban fantasy try Jim butcher.

I do a lot of driving for my work so am pretty much constantly listening to audiobooks. Pretty much anything you could want to read has an audiobook counterpart

I’ve heard that some books are good in audio and other arent because the voices aren’t good. Any recommendations?

This is what I currently have. Liked all of them. I love audible because if you don’t like a book you can exchange it no questions asked so you only have to keep books you really love

I will say careful if you do the lightbringer series. There are two different editions with very different voice actors. I listened to the first on on YouTube with one actor then had a hard time initially getting into the “new voice” audible offers

My job requires a lot of driving, so I also audiobook regularly. Audiobooks are probably Jordan’s most digestible format if you’ve ever struggled finishing a WoT book. Sanderson’s fantastic and the Stormlight Archive is the real deal. Michael J Sullivan’s Riyria series and related books translate well into audiobooks and are well-narrated. The Powder Mage books by Brian McClellan are well worth a look if you have any interest in military fantasy.

With a toddler and a long drive to work, audiobooks have become my best friend. Some of my favorites to listen to are Demon Cycle Series, Kingkiller Chronicles, First Law Series, Harry Potter, The Magicians Series, Mistborn, and Stormlight Archive. I am working my way through all the Robin Hobb series right now on audio book and they are really good as well. If you are going to go through audible, it is worth it to may monthly fee and bank up credits. Also – I can gift you one book for free so if you want any of the above, let me know and I can send you one 🙂

I Second the first law trilogy. It’s a great story with some of the best characters ever created. And it will make you laugh out loud often.
