I will try it. So far he hates reading 🙁 but he really enjoys the lor movies and I asked him if I can find him books like lor does he think he would read them. He said he might. So I’m really hoping with all the suggestions I can find something to really get him into.
The Dark is Rising Series by Susan Cooper. I started out reading it to my son when he was 9 and we both finished the series reading silently because we couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.
The Bartimeus Trilogy, definitely Eragon and there is a younger reading book by the author of the Game of Thrones series called….the ice dragon that I would reccomend. Also, my daughter really enjoyed the Fablehaven set and the lion, the with and the wardrobe series. And of course Harry Potter. Also…graphic novels of Tolkiens work. Sorry so long
Alan Garner books. Think one is called The Weirdstone of Brisingamon. I gave this to a 9 yr old in my class when he had read the hobbit and he loved it. Also Susan Cooper the Dark is rising series.
He really likes the movies but I think the lord of the rings books may be a bit to much for him at the moment
How about The Hobbit? Much more kid-focused than the Lord of The Rings books.
