@Sherry I haven’t been disappointed with any of work yet, I still need to get my cousin Rachel though.

I need to re-read My Cousin Rachel, I have forgotten more than I remember of it!

1
Sean

@Sherry it’s been on my tbr list for a while. I buy from charity shops mainly so it takes time to find a certain book at times. I’ve got plenty to read in meantime ??

1
Sherry

That’s where I get most of my books!!

1
Sean

@Sherry so much cheaper than stores. My local charity shops do 3 or 4 for £1

Just read it again for my book group. The other ladies hadn’t read it – they all loved it. Classic!! (Though I have to say, I read it first when in my 20’s; now, much older and wiser, I absolutely HATED Max de Winter! How we change! ?)

The King James Version of the Bible. It’s one of the biggest influences on modern English ever. Purists interested in Pre-Reformation books can try the Douay-Rheims Bible.
Genesis, Exodus, I & II Kings, Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes, Judges, Elijah, Ezekiel, Ruth, Esther, The Gospels, Acts, Epistles, and, alas, Revelation.

The Expanse series of books by James S.A. Corey. author pseudonym for Daniel Abraham and Ty Frank. The first three are in this box set, with the others available individually. Hard space opera goodness. <3
