@Lorraine I’m sorry I did, I got it from book bub. I make a point of finishing a book even if I’m not enjoying it, think I need to rethink this

I used to finish everything as a matter of pride (and probably more than a little stubbornness) but the older I get & the bigger my TBR pile gets it becomes less and less of an issue. I give it a few chapters, if it doesn’t grab me I’m done. If it came highly recommended from a reliable book buddy I might give it a second look after a month or so but no more agonizing over finishing.

Infected? Really? Not everyone has the same taste so what some will hate, others with love 🙂

To each their own. You might not like it, but that shouldn’t stop others from picking it up. To base your reading choices on one person’s opinion is also very naive and ignorant!

To be fair, that’s the entire point of reviews….

Which is why I look at covers and blurbs. But I’ll never discredit a book based on one person’s opinion.

One review shouldn’t make or break a book. I’ve read highly acclaimed books that have won awards and didn’t enjoy them. They were obviously not for me. Others still enjoyed them.
