That’s why I wasn’t sure if they were worth a read. Sounds like they are going to be ?

Kaffy, I don’t pay much attention to critics. If a book seems somewhat interesting, I go for it and form my own opinion.

Alison

Have you met him? Can you tell us what you don’t like about him? Just curious.

0
Nicoletta

@Nancy His morality and the scandal he was involved to the point he went to jail.

0
Nancy

@Nicoletta Oh, oh…just Googled him. Not good.

0
Jan

@Nancy, Maybe I don’t know the whole story, but what I heard was once the fraud was brought to light he resigned from the House of Commons and began writing in order to pay the debts that his creditors had suffered. Seems to me that he paid his debt to society. Time to forgive his foolishness and deceit and enjoy his writing. You don’t want to miss this talent!!

0
Nancy

@Jan Hah! No, I never said I wouldn’t continue to read his books. I can’t imagine what horrible things other authors have done, but that doesn’t take away their writing talent. I was just curious, Googled it, and agree that he has paid his debt to society. We all make mistakes.

1
Jan

@Nancy… I realize you didn’t say that. I was just making a general statement because of what the other gal said. Wouldn’t want anyone to miss his wonderful books.

1
Sangdeli

Archer is the best in story-telling.
