Why not? I often have several books on the go at the same time to suit my moods, the time of day (nothing too absorbing at night if I have an early start lol) or how much time I have to read.
It’s bad news for the author…it means that their book did not hold your interest so you went on to something else. And you will forget important details of their book so you will get even more bored. If a book is really good, I don’t put it down to read something else…unless it is so suspenseful I can’t get to sleep at nite. then I might read something boring at bedtime.
Not necessarily….everyone is different. For instance, some people just don’t have the longest attention span regardless of how good a book is so they have to switch back and forth between stories.
I think that’s a bit off @Laura, It doesn’t mean the author didn’t do a good job, it’s just the preference of the reader. I read 3 or 4 books at a time all in different genres, business, psychology, child development/nonfiction and fictional 🙂 everyone has their own style, no disrespect to the author.
Nope. I’m down to 2, having finished my audiobook and given up on another through lack of interest. But I’ve just had a new one delivered and I’ll have another audiobook ready to go for Monday at work.
I’ve read two at one time before. I likened it to watching two different television shows. People do that and more all the time and keep stories straight. So why not with books?
No, you do you. I personally like to juggle between one in my Kindle, one physical book, and one audiobook. If I’m reading more than one book on a single format, I try to read different genres so I don’t mix up the storylines.
Wrong, why?! It’s actually doable. You just need to organize yourself and your mind. Otherwise, how would people handle their Ph.D., research projects, thesis, book projects and so forth??
No, but be careful! I read 6 books at once one time and they were all so slow that I lost interest in all of them and went into a book slump. lol 6 boring beginnings can do that to you. lol
Nope!! I think it really depends on the person; I know some people who can’t stand to start another book before they finish their current book. I on the other hand often read 2 to 3 books at the same time. I like to read what catches my fancy at the moment, i.e. fantasy, mystery, etc. And I like to have options. 😀
Not at all. I read 4 at a time as well. All of them, however @Gabriel, are different genres. One is Business, one in psychology, another is child development and the last is fantasy.
If you can do it and find it easy and preferable and no harm is done, why should it be wrong?
Why not? I often have several books on the go at the same time to suit my moods, the time of day (nothing too absorbing at night if I have an early start lol) or how much time I have to read.
If you can why Not??? I read 2 books at a time, 1 day time reading and 1 book by my bed
I do that as well, different genre’s
Yes day time right now is true life animal book. Bed aide book is crime fiction
I have a a biography by my bed and Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNab in the lounge
My husband likes Andy Mcnab books
I’m growing a nice collection of 14 now
Not at all! I can only read one book at a time though or I get confused
If it is what you enjoy, no. As long as you don’t hurt other people or harm anything it can’t be wrong
No, I’ve got three on the go right now all different genre’s
I believe I’m at 9 currently.
Not at all! I love reading multiple books
Nope you can do whatever you want!!
Nope. I am.
No I do it all the time

I prefer reading Poems at Night… for me feeling good …it makes my Mind calm.
Not necessarily….everyone is different. For instance, some people just don’t have the longest attention span regardless of how good a book is so they have to switch back and forth between stories.

If it’s wrong, “I dont wanna be right!”
No, I do it all the time
I couldn’t because I can’t divide my attention like that
No
Read a 100 at once if you wanna! 😉
I wish I was that coordinated!
I admire that you can?
I always always have three going at a time. Hard copy, kindle and audible.one for home, one for coffee shop or waiting rooms and one for the car
Nope. I’m down to 2, having finished my audiobook and given up on another through lack of interest.
But I’ve just had a new one delivered and I’ll have another audiobook ready to go for Monday at work.
Nope, I am reading 5 lol
lol
How can you keep all the characters straight? Just curious
That’s my minimum! It’s veeeery rare for me to read only one book at a time.
Yes
I don’t think it’s wrong. Do what makes you happy.
I’ve read two at one time before. I likened it to watching two different television shows. People do that and more all the time and keep stories straight. So why not with books?
No, not if it works for you!
It’s fun. 😀
Suffering from same syndrome.
No, you do you. I personally like to juggle between one in my Kindle, one physical book, and one audiobook. If I’m reading more than one book on a single format, I try to read different genres so I don’t mix up the storylines.
i always read 2-3 books simultaneously. it’s completely ok i think 🙂
Not if you can keep them straight in your mind.
Not at all. Why would there be anything wrong about it? ?
No i used to have ten or more going at once but that was back when i was in hs
No, I usually do but I’m currently down to two.
I do it all the time.
I do that. I read according to what book I am in the mood for atm:)
Not wrong.
Reading a few chapters at a time is like watching a few episodes of a tv show and then mixing it up by watching something else for a bit.
So not “wrong”. Not unless you’re the type to get confused or forget what you’ve read.
If its wrong, I don’t wanna be right
I’m reading 5 right now
No I am also reading 4 books at a time
I like to read one at a time but I find now that I have an ereader I have 2 on the go as I like to still read tree books
nope
Is it?
No
Is it wrong to love four of your four children at the same time? ☺️
Why would it be? 🙂
? no
No, of course not! 😀
Not at all.
I have 5! LOL!
No! I read multiples all the time
Nope, not even a little bit!! ?
Me too, I read about 5 or 6 at once! ?
The more the better
No
As long as you are reading, then nothing is wrong ???
If it’s right for you then that’s all that matters
Wrong, why?! It’s actually doable. You just need to organize yourself and your mind. Otherwise, how would people handle their Ph.D., research projects, thesis, book projects and so forth??
No, but be careful! I read 6 books at once one time and they were all so slow that I lost interest in all of them and went into a book slump. lol 6 boring beginnings can do that to you. lol
That is the norm for me; I usually only read two fiction at a time though.
Not from my perspective. I’m reading about 7 right now :-D.
Not at all 😉
nope. It’s normal :p
Never!! Four and more!! Keep it up!
Nope, not enough. ???
Never ever.
I got two on the go
Nope!!
I think it really depends on the person; I know some people who can’t stand to start another book before they finish their current book. I on the other hand often read 2 to 3 books at the same time. I like to read what catches my fancy at the moment, i.e. fantasy, mystery, etc. And I like to have options. 😀
Not if you can focus!
Lol I can do 2 at most….but lately I’ve regained my reading speed so I been finishing books in like 2 days. ?
Nope, sometime I do 3 it fun
I am reading 3.
Nope
Not at all.
Go for it! Any reading can only be a good thing. As for me, I’ll stick w/one book at a time–not into multi-task reading.
Not at all
Nope
But you only have two eyeballs!
I’m reading 6 right now. No different than watching 6 different TV shows, or studying 6 different subjects in school.
Not at all
I’m so thankful for this question lol ☺️ #ImNormal
Nope
Not at all. I’m reading three and will start a fourth tomorrow
Nope
It’s fine if you can handle it. I never could.
Absolutely not!! I do this too, but only 2 boos at a time ??
I’ve only read two at a time! One is usually a novel and the other is a religious book.
Any particular religion, or is your selection more general?
I’m catholic but I like reading stuff about spirituality.
Nope I read 3 at a time.
No, I’m reading 11 right now.
Nope and I’m a bit impressed.
Not at all. I read 4 at a time as well. All of them, however @Gabriel, are different genres. One is Business, one in psychology, another is child development and the last is fantasy.
Of course it’s wrong…a minimum of six is the rule.
Nope
Not if you are enjoying them!
Nope not at all, I’m currently reading 5 and a sample of one
Yes, you can and even more. It is exciting and fun.
Not if you can follow them, i.e. Manage to appreciate each and absorb their content/meaning
Not wrong at all. Reading 3.
No
Definitely not!
Nope coz I do that lol
Boss!
No not at all…. ????
Heck, no! ??
Not at all.
Heck no. But my max is 3
Except…you know…that’s not enough books at one time. Need at least 8
nope, I’ve done that.
No…I do that all the time. My husband can’t figure out how I do it.
we are just clever ladies aren’t we Carol Miller..they are jealous because they can’t do it…LOL?
Yes we are Michele. Women can multi task!!
yes thats right, Men can’t..
Sometimes 2 but never more
Nope.
No
Absolutely not!!!
Could not put this book down…The Journey Of Lovie Maroon.
Nah lol I’m usually reading at least 6.
