I agree.

There’s so many unread books out there! Why read the same book twice?

I don’t generally like rereading books. There are more books to read!

I will reread books with my daughter, though.

When I was a kid I could reread a book three or four times. Now as an adult, I never have the patience.

Me! I can’t reread books. If I try, I end up just skimming through them. I have a such a large TBR pile that id rather spend that time reading a new book.

Me neither! With three exceptions…

1. I read a book last year that may very well be my all time favorite book, and I want to read it again to make SURE it can claim such a title. Haven’t reread yet though.

2. I’m in the middle of reading TheFireman and I already want to read it again to pick up on stuff I may have missed.

3. Between 3rd and 5th grade I read The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle a total of 21 times.

Other than that, I’m with ya!

I only do it to refresh my memory if it’s a long series with lots of plot and characters. Otherwise not at all

I realized years ago that I cant reread books… I tried once but the thrill of what happens next in the story is lost because I remember what happens and its not “new” anymore. 🙁

I absolutely hate rereading, but have been getting an itch to reread the Harry Potter series. I’m such a huge fan and I feel like a fake since I’ve only read them once. Everything else on the TBR pile has to come first though!

I love rereading especially good books, sometimes you pick up on something that you didn’t the first time so whilst it’s a reread can feel like reading the book for the first time again

When I was a teen I used to rereead Harry Potter all the time, but I think I haven’t reread a book in like 10 or 15 years. There are so many to read and I want to read them all. Re-reading? Ain’t nobody got time for that, lol.
