Are you looking at a fire or dedicated reader?

Just the reader, they have one for 50$ or the paper white for $75 ? I think?

Shannon

I have a dedicated reader and love it. I cant read on a tablet, but the lack of distractions is nice.

If you were choosing between them…. I think paperwhite is the one with the light. I’d go with that! I used ereader pre-built in lights and can vouch that having the light makes all the difference in the world.

I want the get the paper white too! But you have to pay an extra 20 for the charger because they don’t include with the actual kindle ?

Any usb to power charging does the trick.

1
Colett

It does? I was reading the reviews and they keep saying that when you use any charger it says it isn’t supported

Valeria

@Colett I have a multi usb power socket so I can connect phone, kindle, iPad, smart watch without getting tangled in the process and it works just fine ?.

I use the nearest Android charger to hand with mine! My Paperwhite is 5 years old and still going strong and I currently use Oasis. I don’t think I ever had an actual Amazon Kindle charger with any of mine ?

Yes. I’ve got an iPad but for reading I definitely use my kindle.

I have both an iPad and a Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle is excellent for reading outdoors and in the car. No glare and looks and feels more like a real book. I love it.

I have both, my Kindle is smaller so fits in my purse better. I prefer my paperwhite for reading. Don’t really like reading on my iPad, but I do keep my cookbooks on my iPad. 🙂

I use both. I use the iPad in bed because of the black background. I use my paperwhite outside. It’s awesome in bright light conditions.

I prefer using my iPad to my kindle. The bigger screen works better for me and with the black background is better for my eyes.

Yes’m, because the books take up a lot of space on an iPad. I love my kindle fire, had it for several years now.

All my books are my iBooks so a Kindle would be wasted on me

It is good to help avoid the backlight. Kindle can therefore help promote better sleep habits as the screen is designed differently (both the backlit and ones that are not). This should also be better for your eyes and feels more like reading a regular book!

I have a kindle but use my iPad more often so I can access reading apps from the library.

It depends. If you have an iPad you don’t need a kindle fire, but a kindle Paperwhite (or any other kindle e-reader) is much better for reading than an iPad.

I bought one ??‍♀️ tempted me too. I have a kindle fire, but the glare makes it so hard to read outside, so I bought a regular kindle on prime day. Price was too good to pass up.

I haven’t picked up my kindle since the day my mom gave it to me. (We replaced hers and I took her old one to see if I liked it) Just replaced my iPad mini with another so I can keep reading there. Its a lot easier for me.

I love my Kindle. I also have the app on my phone, but there’s something more… magical almost about reading on a Kindle.
But it really depends upon what you like and which you prefer. I’d say go test one out somewhere, and see if you would enjoy it better than using your iPad.
