I always thank Stephen King for being the author who sparked my love of reading at a young age. I’ve yet to read a bad King book, but I’m a bit biased too!

I love King! Some say his books are too wordy and unnecessarily long. I eat up every sentence. He may take a bit longer to “get there” but WOW when all those details come together.

I’m glad you’re enjoying The Shining. It’s a good one!

@Becky Yes! There’s nothing wrong with being wordy when the words take you on a journey! I would rather read a 1500 page King book than a 200 page book with clunky, crap writing

He is one of my favorite authors. Occasionally I have trouble getting into his work but most of the time it just sucks me in and I can’t stop reading.
