I LOVED this book! I read it when I was stranded in an airport for 12 hours

I honestly think it lacked something but it stirred strong feelings within me, and i think for a book club it really is a good book to discuss…

I enjoyed the first part…wasn’t impressed with the latter part of the book.

I can see that! I hated that the love story had to be added.

I had to come to grips with the fact that I wouldn’t love every book our book club chose. However, discussing the book with the members was and always is the best part. You might find reasons to like the book or the author or the writing after all.

Keep at it. It is heart breaking and wonderful all at the same time. It is a little confusing. But not at the end.

Cynthia, you sent me that book. It was spell-binding.

Loved it… it is also based on historical people although it is historical fiction. Caroline’s home is open for tours in CT…a tough subject but worth understanding

I finished it because it is popular and I understand the reasons it appeals to readers, but I think it has structural issues and the writing is not the finest.

I loved it. Although some of the parts in the concentration camps are difficult to read.

Oh I’m reading this now but have to take little breaks because I get so angry about the treatment of the girls and feel such disbelief that people thought it acceptable. The cover gives no indication of the horrors that lay beneath.
