I got a copy after reading all the comments. I even found the movie based on the case from 1993. I remembered it came on but didn’t get to see it because I was 12 or 13 at the time & had school the next day.

It’s definitely a buyer. I still have Rill’s voice swirling in my head. I’ve dived deeper into the the true story. It’s haunting me.

A friend just gave me a copy last week. I was skimming it, thinking ‘this sounds familiar’. Many (many, many) years ago there was a movie made with Mary Tyler Moore as the lead. It was the first time I saw her as a manipulating woman and it blew my mind!

Just read it was feeling alittle disappointed from all the hype till I read the end and read about the history behind it. Not my favorite historical fiction book but I did like it. I think I had such high expectations from the reviews, when I read orphan train and Nightengale 2 of my favs they just came out and I was unexpectedly surprised.
