At our library, the chipotle coupons are always the first summer reading prize to go. They actually made ones that looked like bookmarks and everything. Not sure if they still do that, but it was cool that Chipotle actually tailored it to the program.

Books are good, too. And if you can get some sort of ice cream coupon (even if it’s like a dollar cone from McDonald’s or something), ice cream is always good.

My local library does an adult winter reading program. The prizes are themed baskets. They had gardening, baking, movies, romance, pets, mystery and audio books this past winter. They put in items, and books, that went with the theme and also things like library totes, tea and snacks. And each one had a gift card to a local restaurant. They also give away one fire tablet.

Our city-county library always has a free pass to the state fair as a prize.

We do awesome grand prizes. We have fair passes, swim pass at the local pool, and gift certificate to the zoo.
We need halfway prizes and I love the idea of approaching local businesses

My library did a summer reading challenge and I was one of the winners – I received a copy of Haruki Murakami’s Killing Commendatore – I was thrilled!

We do gift cards, passes to the YMCA, gift certificates to local businesses and attractions. I am the cataloger, so sometimes I save the digital copy insert from a movie and we use it as a prize.

Our library just gives adults coupon books for their participation and it’s the wooorrssttt. Don’t do that. lol

A gift certificate for maybe like $15 for a book at the local bookstore! Or if the library does book sales frequently, then a coupon for a free book. Or maybe a gift card for coffee

I love my library but the Adult Summer Reading Program is the worst. Last year there was only one halway prize: a water bottle. And only one grand prize winner which was a book or something.

Last year I accumulated about $15 of fee waivers, that was better than the beer coozie! I’d love a nice book mark ??‍♀️
